Tom Lied has spent a lifetime in the landscaping profession.  He started working in 1946 and would go on to join his father as a partner in 1957.  In 2012, he sold his business and joined David J. Frank Landscape as a Senior Landscape Architect.  Tom offers a wealth of information in all aspects of the Green Industry.

Tom has played a leadership role nationally in the evolution of the professional landscape industry; playing a founding role in the Associated Landscape Contractors of America, Wisconsin Landscape Contractors Association, Wisconsin Nurseryman’s Association, as well as the Wisconsin Landscape Federation.  Tom played a leadership role; founding and chairing the National Association’s Crystal Ball committee for nearly three decades.  Tom mentored many younger contractors starting out including David J. Frank.  Tom is known nationally for his contribution to improving the professionalism in the landscape industry.
