A Healing Garden
Creating a green area for patients, staff and visitors to enjoy outside of the medical environment, allowing the healing process.

Client Need
An area for patients to enjoy the outdoors and relax or mingle with other patients and healthcare staff.
Inspiration
Original design was done by GRAEF. DJFLCI was hired to tweak the design and install the project.
Favorite Element
My favorite part of this design is the larger of the two circles where the sculpture and pergola are located because so many design elements work together.
Biggest Challenge
Working with other contractors to plan and schedule work.
Proudest Accomplishment
The total transformation of the site. When we started the entire area was just grass and now it is a beautiful garden for all to enjoy.
Tough Moment
We had to work around a large amount of utilities on a tight site which caused last minute design revisions.
Fond Memory
The Aurora staff and DJFLCI crews were so wonderful to work with and everyone shared a mutual excitement to see the end result.
