Getting the phone call from my contact when we were awarded the job, after a long bidding process with lots of competition. Telling my boss was icing on the cake.

Fond Memory

One day I was checking on the annuals in Froedtert’s court yard. A woman came up and asked me if I was the person who designed the flowers. She followed up with many questions relating to horticulture and was writing names of the plants down on the same napkin she had just finished wiping her tears with. It made me feel good that I could bring smiles and joy to someone in sorrow.
