Indoor Plant Maintenance in a High-Traffic Commercial Space

Indoor plant maintenance in commercial settings requires expertise, consistency, and design awareness. At the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery (WID) in Madison, we’ve delivered just that for nearly 15 years. Located on the busy UW–Madison campus, this public research facility needed a quiet, natural escape from the daily hustle. We partnered with them to design and maintain a stunning interiorscape that still thrives today.

Ficus trees anchor the garden’s core, bringing vertical greenery and a forest-like feel to the building’s interior. Their health is maintained through precise irrigation and regular pruning.

A Living Landscape Built to Last

From towering pandanus trees and cycads to aglaonemas, ferns, and moss-covered planters, this lush garden brings peace and beauty indoors. We visit every two weeks to manage irrigation, prune plants, and clear debris. During spring break, our team completes a deep clean while the building is closed—refreshing plants, adjusting placement, and upgrading systems like the Ficus irrigation lines.

Last spring, we had just one day to complete the work before a large public event. With a 20-person crew, we finished on time, without disrupting the client’s schedule.

Cycads add height to the back of the garden while flowering plants and groundcover fill the foreground. Built-in irrigation and ample light help every plant thrive—key to long-term commercial interiorscape maintenance.
