Client Need

The homeowners felt their current landscape was “tired” and lacked color. They were also in need of an attractive staircase that would lead them safely from the house down to the lake. Lastly, they wanted to redesign their old brick terrace into a new and inviting entertainment area.

Favorite Element

The new winding natural stone staircase to the lake is a favorite. 43 limestone steps replaced the former (and unsafe) railroad tie stairs. A landscape lighting system also adds ambiance during the night hours.

Biggest Challenge

The staircase required numerous permits from Walworth County.

Fond Memory

Joan and Bob Farrell were absolutely delighted and engaged in the project. They provided us with consistent feedback.
