DJF was recognized as a Best Place to Work in Snow & Ice once again at the Snow & Ice Management Association’s (SIMA) 27th Annual Snow & Ice Symposium June 25-28 in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Applicants were judged on demonstrated success in professional development and support, company culture, managerial effectiveness, personnel engagement, and trust in leadership. Only 29 companies achieved the judging criteria and were bestowed with this national award.

The symposium hosted more than 1,000 attendees, 130 exhibitors, and 50 educational sessions including DJF-facilitated roundtable discussions on sustainable salt practices and the selling benefits of liquids.

DJF’s support of the Snowplow Rally on March 19 in Madison, Wis., calling for the reduction of salt use across the state to protect fresh waterways was also highlighted. Erik Dyba, DJF Irrigation/Madison Branch Manager, represented the company at the symposium. He and the other members of the Salt Wise Advisory Board were commended for their efforts in the development of the state’s salt applicator certification program.
