Stately Oasis

The regular collaboration with the client makes managing this property a joy. We walk the ever-changing property at least four times a year with the client to determine in-season enhancements and additions.

Everyone has a favorite day. Christmas day, a birthday or anniversary, the first day of fall. For this client, her favorite day of the year is when the plantings of the annuals get underway.

Managing the Different Colors and Textures

We have overseen this ever-changing landscape for six years. It not only changes from year to year, but it also changes during the year. We walk the property at least four times a year with the client to determine in-season enhancements and additions.

Many different colors, textures, and shapes are managed to satisfy the need for serenity. During the summer these plants were evident: whopper begonias, supertunias, Russian sage, roses, caladiums, cannas, irises, sedum, geraniums, lady’s mantle, and grasses. Regular pruning and fertilizing keep flowers alluring and maintain a beautiful backdrop for the backyard oasis.

The irrigation system keeps the lawn lush while weekly mowing keeps the yard manicured. Integrated pest management is used for insects, and an ash tree is treated for emerald ash borers. Dwarf river birches are lightly sheared for a formal appearance.

The regular collaboration with the client makes managing this property a joy. Once you set foot on this stately oasis you want to stay for a while.
